FULBOURN HEALTH CENTRE and CORNFORD HOUSE SURGERY
Christmas will be a distant memory by the time you read this, but if you were the lucky recipient of a new phone, please read on!
We ask everyone to keep us informed of any change in their contact details so that we can update our computers. The new computer system sends out automatic text reminders about your appointments (unless you ask us not to) so please make sure we have your current mobile number.
We have dedicated staff training sessions booked during the coming year and the next one will involve a half day closure on Thursday 15th March. The Health Centre will be closed from 12:30pm and Urgent Care Cambridgeshire will be taking calls for urgent medical attention. Contact details are on the phone message as always. I have been asked to advertise these closures more widely and appreciate that people who do not visit us regularly may not see the notices in the Health Centre.
The staff at the Health Centre are only one part of the NHS network providing patient care. The local pharmacies also play an important role in monitoring a patient’s medication, the patient’s understanding of how their tablets work and ensuring that various medicines are being taken correctly. Please be reassured that if your local pharmacist offers you a review of your medication that this is with the full support of your GP and a report will be passed to your doctor informing them of the outcome. Patient confidentiality is maintained at all times and your pharmacist will be able to offer a consultation area where these matters can be discussed in private.
