Fulbourn Fen Nature Reserve update

Please be aware that Fulbourn Fen Nature Reserve will be grazed by sheep and cattle for the next few weeks. The fields that are being grazed will be closed to the public while livestock are present. Permissive access will remain for the ungrazed fields where possible. Notices will be up at the entrance to closed fields. Grazing has started much later than usual and so there will be extra animals to compensate. Unfortunately, we have had several instances of sheep worrying by dogs in recent months, so we have had to make the difficult decision to close these areas while grazing takes place. We are committed to keeping Fulbourn Fen open as much as possible for everyone who wants to visit, however it is essential that the fields are grazed to create the right habitat for rare orchids and other species. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
